Find Adventure Club on their Sound Cloud. This looks like so much fun!
'Pictures' Official Video (HD) - Benjamin Francis Leftwich
Gorgeous.
"If you are afraid don't be,
I have the whole thing planned,
We’ll start in the ocean baby,
And when we find the land,
We will be thankful to,
All of our friends,
That they didn't leave us,
As we got to the end....."

Little Dragon- Ritual Union
I love Yukimi Nagano's style. Great use of voice. I love when live is comparable to studio with very little effort.

Compelling and disturbing. I tend to admire that a bit in art.

Product Plug?
I hate to admit, but I get very one-track-minded when I like a thing. Give me a song I love, and I'll play it over and over. Give me a music site I dig, and I might get wrapped up for a bit. I am hooked on Spotify. I am sure there are other arguable interfaces. I have tried some, but not all. However, I am SOLD on the premium package. It is the best $10 I'll spend all month.
CLICK HERE TO VISIT THEIR WEBSITE
You can try it for free for 48 hours. They will send you an email where you are able to follow a link to get 30 more days free IF you give them your card number. Then, cancel or pay $10/month. I'm keeping my iTunes, and not to knock iTunes by any means. However, Spotify is giving me major unlimited play capacity from home and the ability to have my playlists on my iPhone. Loving it.
CONS: Have to change settings immediately or it starts blasting stuff to your Facebook profile. Super easy interface. Minor adjustment to resolve conflict. Some artists not there or not available and certain albums could be missing from an artist' library. My biggie was that the commercials drove me nuts and you can't get rid of those until you pay your $9.99....

The Jacksons: Show you the way to go. Live 1977 at Musikladen
On Musikladen, a West German music television program that aired 1972-1984. Much like Burt Sugarman's Midnight Special which aired on NBC in the US during the same time period, Musikladen featured all kinds of amazing musicians hip to the time. Check out this gem.

Portugal The Man- Got It All
Portugal The Man of Portland and Alaska. I love those uprising, youthful renaissance sort of songs. And a weakness for falsettos.
STRFKR- Medicine (Live on Fearless Music)
I have hearted STRFKR into my playlists before. Loved seeing this. Silo says the song is catchy and has a good beat. "Take your medicine. Take your medicine."
Thanks Fearless Music You've always got great variety and super sound quality.
It reminds me of way back when I went to see Mouse on Mars, Junior Boys, and happened to stumble on the opening band Ratatat. This song is very Ratatat- Seventeen Years.

Miike Snow- Animal
Always. Every day. Great poetry.
Here's a cover by Sky Ferreira on Hype Machine I admittedly played this one out crying a birthday away without my friends. Ahhhh sweet music- you are the nectar of emotion. The bad times, too.

Tennessee Ernie Ford Sings 16 Tons
I can't get this out of my head lately. This song was written by Merle Travis based upon his family's experience as coal miners in Kentucky. The song was written in 1946. A timeless jewel.
Angus and Julia Stone - Big Jet Plane [Official Music Video]
This vibe is in sync. When you get older and the beauty of unabashed love is virtually lost to you.... When you need to be the Wendy to your Peter Pan.... When you are young and at life's mercy. Songs like these are therapeutic.

Sometimes, we are late to find sweet little gems like this hard working, brother-sister, Aussie duo.

Hoodie Allen - "The Chase Is On" (Official Video)
Doing it, real. Perfect summer vibe. Love the cultural references in his jams.
Hoodie Allen- You Are Not A Robot (Official Music Video)
This 20-something Jewish boy, Steven Markowitz, from NY, NY is just killing it in my book.
Fruit Bats - You're Too Weird (OFFICIAL VIDEO)
Fruit Bats is the creation of Eric D. Johnson, sideman of Califone. What a great, pop-soothing feel. Especially for a little girl who loved The Bee Gees.
Local Natives | Who Knows Who Cares | A Take Away Show
I love Local Natives and I love La Blogotheque. This is very win-win.

Sleigh Bells- Crown On The Ground
This duo from Brooklyn was named Pitchfork's 57th best track of 2009. Their debut album Treats was very well received. They are supposed to have a new release in early 2012. (Which they did, and Girlie was all over everything!!! Looking good, too.) Too popular for me now???? We'll see..... This track is great to play on a jukebox. It might blow the speakers.

DAFT PUNK Coca-Cola Commercial 2011
Now that's marketing boys... Have a Coke & a smile. Harder, better, faster, stronger.
PJ Harvey - Let England Shake
That's my girl. This is punk rock. She is glam. She is vintage. This is black & white. Its Polaroid. Love, love, love her. She's been tops for me for far too many years than I'll admit out loud. Her ruggedness becomes my savage heart.
Secret of Kells - Aisling's Song- Pangur Ban
This animated feature was awesome. The Celtic knots that come to life throughout the film are unforgettable. This song is also a very catchy one. Pangur Ban
